Taylormade Ghost Tour Series

The latest in new drivers have been advanced to make your drive go farther, new irons have been developed for better accuracy, re-engineered golf balls have been designed for every type of player, but what about your short game?
The new putters in the Taylormade Ghost Tour Series will help improve your alignment and give you crisper, smoother, and more accurate putts.  The six putter designs introduced for 2012 in the Talormade Ghost Tour Series are the: DA-12, DA-62, SE-62, MA-81, FO-72, Corza Ghost.
The DA-12 specifications exhibit a blade style putter with a 40 degree toe hang, 4 degree loft, and an L-Neck shaft.  This putter is made for right and left handed players.
The DA-62 specifications also exhibit a blade style with a 60 degree toe hang.  The putter is equipped with a short curve shaft with a 4 degree loft, but is only made for right handed players.
The SE-62 has other modifications but is still in the blade style putter category.  This stainless steel putter displays a 65 degree toe hang with a flow neck shaft and a 4 degree loft.  These three putters are the newest in the blade style for the Ghost Tour series.
The MA-81 is a small mallet style putter which exhibits stainless steel shaft with a 80 degree toe hang.  It also displays a flow neck designed shaft and comes in sizes 33”, 34”, and 35” for right handed players.
The two final putters for the Ghost Tour series are for both right and left handed players.  The FO-72 and the CORZA are mallet style putters.  Designed with a single-bend shaft and 4 degree loft, these new putters are the only ones in the series that are face-balanced.  Each comes in sizes 33”, 34”, and 35”.
“Really the whole Ghost Tour line is focused around premium tour white putters……we went to a much more premium white paint which is not only easier to see but is also more durable,” said Michael Fox, a club designer for Taylormade Golf Company.  A specific color of white paint was used to reduce glare and improve contrast from the putter to the grass.  Testing has proven that with the specific white used helps improve a player’s alignment and therefore better putts.
That isn’t all that Taylormade is coming out with in the world of putting, “There is one big story with Ghost putters next year and for us it is the new Ghost Manta…….the idea around it was that it needs to be the next generation of putters,” (1) said Mr. Fox.  The Manta is something you haven’t seen before and therefore needs its own category.  With its “simple performance and mass appeal shape” Talormade wanted to make the all around putter with good looks and true performance and for more information visit www.taylormadegolf.com.
Surely, with any of these new putters, that come equipped with counter balance weight technology, you will improve your short game for 2012.

Other Golf Improvements for 2012

Improve your Golf Game now, for 2012
In our previous article we discussed the new advancements in club technology, but what about other aspects of the game?  Taylormade, Callaway, and PING golf manufacturers have introduced their latest tweaks, designs, and game improvement clubs for 2012, but this isn’t the only thing you need to improve your game.  New advancements in golf shoe design and golf ball technology have been improved for 2012.
The advancement in golf shoes for comfort, stability, and game improvement has been lumped into one fraise, “sole science.” Mike Stachura, a writer for Golf Digest Magazine, goes into depth about the advancements in golf footwear.  The shoe company Adidas has recently introduced a new golf shoe with a “spikeless” technology.  Not only does this shoe provide ultimate control in your golf stance and swing, it can also be worn as leisure apparel.  This means no matter where you go, you will always be ready to golf and not be burdened with the tedious task of changing into and out of your golf shoes.
Adidas feature shoe, called the Adicross, “features 124 traction nodules to help the foot flex naturally during the swing. A synthetic cap over the toe makes it resistant to scuffing. Justin Rose wore these during his win at a soggy 2011 BMW Championship,” said Mr. Stachura.  This shows that pro-golfers have seen the versatility of this shoe and find it to be a game changer when it comes to ultimate comfort and performance, but even with the latest technology in clubs and apparel we are missing the number one important piece in golf, the ball.
No matter how hard and perfect your swing is it will come up short without the latest advancements in golf ball technology.  “The latest top three brands recommended for 2012 would have to be Bridgestone, Callaway, and NIKE,” said Jimmy Wallis a Player’s Assistant for a local Utah Golf Retail/Distributor.
The top three brands have introduced the following models: the Bridgestone B330, the Callaway HEX Black Tour, and the NIKE 20XI-S.
Bridgestonegolf.com had this to say about their latest ball, “As of this year, all four models use a dual-dimple design aimed at reducing drag at launch (for more speed) and increasing lift later in flight (for longer carry).(2)  The balls starting cost at $43 dollars a dozen.
Callawaygolf.com explained their new technology, “New for 2012, the five-piece construction starts with the softest inner core and the firmest outer core in company history to produce the biggest difference between driver-shot spin and wedge-shot spin. (2) The balls starting cost at $46 dollars a dozen.
NIKE doesn’t come up short with their balls depicting that, “the cores are constructed of an injection-molded polymer resin instead of traditional rubber…….low spin off the driver and high spin off the wedge…….by increasing the balls moment of inertia with denser outer layers versus less dense inner layers.” The balls starting cost at $46 dollars a dozen.

Golf Advancements are now available for 2012

The Latest in Golf Advancements are now available for February 2012
The Taylormade, Callaway, and PING golf manufacturers have introduced their latest tweaks, designs, and game improvement clubs for 2012.  “Taylormade, Callaway, and PING have the latest in advancements and good quality product,” quote from Jimmy Wallis a Player’s Assistant for a local Utah Golf Retail/Distributor.
Just this month the three leading companies released their new Drivers, the biggest clubs in the bag.  Taylormade revealed the new 11Rs and the ROCKETBALLZ-RBG Drivers on February 3rd.  PING introduced their new PING-I20 Driver on February 7th and Callaway came out with the latest driver on the market, the RAZRFIT Driver, on February 13th.
“Taylormade has the overall lead in their adjustability, loft, and face angle,” Mr. Wallis said after being asked what the overall leading company was.
Each top company introduced a club this month, but only Taylormade introduced 2 clubs instead of one.
The 11Rs Driver is one of the most advanced drivers ever constructed. With the 11Rs’s advanced adjustability it is 3 clubs in one.  The 11Rs Driver allows you to correct your slice or hook on the tee box and go from a 9.5 degree to an 11.5 degree driver in a matter of minutes.
The Taylormade RBG Driver is also advanced in its ability to crush the ball off the tee and gain an average distance of 15 yards longer than its competitors.
Callaway has designed a comparable driver called the RAZRFIT with counter balance weights and minor adjustability.  Although it is not as advanced as Taylormade, this driver doesn’t come up short.  Its counter balance weight technology the average golfer would be a fierce opponent with this in their arsenal.
The I20, developed by PING, exhibits a more traditional driver that gets the job done.  With the companies own advancements in shaft and head design they take a leading role in golf today.
Drivers have been designed and redesigned over the years to improve a golfer’s game and give them that long shot they have been looking for, but other advancements have been made in the golfer’s bag.
Taylormade has come out with a new tweaks in their designs for their irons and fairway woods.  The irons have an “inverted cone technology” that gives more energy to the center of the club face and therefore improves the iron recovery shot.  With Taylormade’s fairway woods they have design and patented a “speed pocket” design which allows for the club to recoil and spring to give the ball more loft and distance.
“Taylormade would have to be the best deal for your dollar due to their quick changes and advancements in their clubs.  With last year’s model being slightly different it is half the price now.  Also, check out globalgolf.com to see clubs statistics and prices,” quote from the Manager of a local Utah Golf Retail/Distributor.
